I am a printmaker. I draw on plates. Recently, I began applying my hand at drawing on paper in a new body of work called ‘Jack’. My intent with my work is to graphically reveal imagery suggestive of the felt experience. I create in series to record emotion as constant movement and change. Utilizing images taken from the media, the Jack drawings explore the climate of our current emotional landscape in my interpretation of the generic ‘every man'. An ongoing documentation of over 75 drawings to date, they evoke both personal and cultural reflections. 'it ain't worth jack' is the second installment of five from the 'Jack' series. The first installment, titled 'just jack,' was presented at the tART@AIR 2009 salon show. |
