2011
tART Collective is a contemporary feminist art collective in New York City. The group functions as a support structure through post-graduate studio visits to artists who are committed to exploring the intersections of visual art and public engagement.
Since 2004, the collective has used its exhibitions as a platform - to fundraise for Doctors Without Borders and Creative Time, to launch 'zines and to present workshops, panel discussions and collaborations. As tART Collective has grown and developed, members have begun to facilitate workshops teaching other artists how to set up their own groups. In 2011, tART members exhibited at Arts@Renaissance in Brooklyn, New York, presented on the collective at the CAA conference in New York City and at Open Engagement conference in Portland, OR, and participated in TINA B, in the Czech Republic.
